One favorite food for all Americans most specifically children utilizes a dangerous dye in Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.  It contains artificial food dyes called Yellow 5 and Yellow 6.  These are unnecessary ingredients and harmful to our system.  In fact, they are not used in the UK because of consumer demands.  Most interestingly, Kraft reformulated the UK version, but not the United States version of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.

Artificial Food Dyes: man-made with chemicals containing petroleum used in fuel.  Requires warning labels in countries outside of the U.S. Yellow 5 and 6 are filled with carcinogens that is associated with an agent directly involving cancer.  Increase in hyperactivity in children, and a negative impact to learn.  The dyes add no nutritional value to foods and are used for appearance only.

International petitions formulated by Vani Hari and Lisa Leake are promoting social change through this movement by utilizing radio, TV, internet, and YouTube to make a difference and force Kraft to make the needed change for these harmful additives.  Much of the community has become involved as it affects adults, children, and the known piece that Kraft removed it from international products, but not the United States.  This hot topic needs attention.   The fight is not over despite Kraft’s response.  Consider visiting the blog and sign the petition!
